THE JOY OF ART  #19, “Autumn 2021"

Thankfully we enjoyed a summer with real art in real galleries,

museums and sculpture parks! Alas, the pandemic lingers on

with Delta. To brighten the day let me share the joy of art making.

We shall overcome!

The “Autumn Drawings” were inspired by a small park in

Germany with dark tree trunks in a sea of autumn colors. They

are part of a series of mixed media drawings on paper from

2016 to 2018, and they measure 16 3/8” x 11 1/2” (42 x 29.5 cm).

I would like to share the joy of creating art - free of issues and

trends; art made with the spirit of Bauhaus Economy coupled

with the joy of play.

“It is a happy talent to know how to play”. Ralph Waldo Emerson
